Text on dome/curved surface

I am trying to put text on the face of a knob that is domed. Searching the forum, I find a few hits but they refer to links that are broken.

Is there a help guide on how to do this. I tried just extruding to get all the letters onto the face, but that ends up not looking as it should - end letters .005 deep and center letters 10x deeper.

I've attached a copy of the part, the text sketch is the last feature

    Thanks

Your best bet would be to do a revolve of a curve at the depth that you want the text to be. Basically fill in what you don't want.

Like Nate said, a revolve to fill in the bottom to the depth you want.
I also noticed that you had a couple of failed fillets. These were caused by some bad sketch relations in the underlying feature.

I am uploading an alternate modeling method to clear that up.

    Thanks, Guys, that worked.

Harold, I had caught the issue with the failed fillets and correct the offending sketch

    Thanks
