Does anyone know the pitch of plastic bottle caps? I want to 3D print a bottle cap type thread part for a project I am working on. I want to use the helical boss funtion if possible.

Try a Google search on bottle cap threads. There's boat loads of info out there.

Depends on the preform used. As a general rule most plastic bottles will mimic the thread on the PCO1881, hence the interchangeability of caps between different volume bottles (assuming you are talking about standard drinks bottles). I have uploaded the PCO 1881 preform to Resources so you can check that out.

Ultimately the best way to check your thread is to have several caps and start cutting. Get enough cross-section to reverse-engineer what you need.
