Keyshot and high CPU temps

    Renders drive the system temps waaay up...

    I think that's to be expected since KS uses all CPU cores to the max. I know that on my laptop when I render the fan kicks in full speed -- sounds like a jet engine -- and it runs that way until I am either done rendering or pause the render. I don't know the temps but the fan exhaust is pretty warm.

    I think that's why some systems use water cooling.

    There might be a way to throttle it back (at the expense of render time)

    Yeah, you can reduce the number of cores that KS uses but, like you said, at the expense of render time. It would need to be tested to see if that does reduce the temps.
